"Mary Ellis watched my children for two weeks in February of 2012. I have three girls ages 5, 3, and seven months. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent in home caregiver. Mary provides loving care as well as educational activities for your children. In just two weeks, I saw a dramatic change from the activities and programs she provided for my children. Not only were they learning great preschool activities such as colors, numbers, and letters but also growing in character and spirit. She incorporates songs and rhymes into her school and Bible lessons that my children are still singing to this day. Mary has an ability to bond with children and encourage them to develop into wonderful, well rounded people."
"My husband and I love Nani’s House. Both of our girls, ages 24 months and 3.5 years, have been attending part time since late August, 2014. I was initially apprehensive of how the girls would do in someone else's care. Mary and David were very understanding. Mary, in particular, listened closely when I described my one daughter’s intense struggle with separation anxiety. She reassured me that it would be okay. In less than two weeks of part time attendance, the daughter I was particularly concerned about was bounding up to Nani’s house and exclaiming “Nani!” with glee. Mary and David are gentle caregivers that nurture and guide the children very well. I am not only happy that my children are in their care, but confidant they receive many valuable skills, lessons, and opportunities for positive character development."
"We are so thankful we chose Mary to care for our son. Mary was so sweet with Corbin, and really showed him the love that we would want him to have. From the very beginning, we trusted Mary. There was never a doubt in my mind that she would keep our son safe, and that she would give him the best care. Mary had music time every morning with the children, and was so involved with them throughout the day. I knew that Corbin wasn’t only going to be safe and loved, but he would also learn while he was in Mary’s care. We were also so thankful for the Christian environment that Mary provided. It is hard to find caregivers you trust, let alone someone who will teach your child values as well. Corbin loved Mary so much that at the end of the day he wouldn’t want to leave her. If I ever needed anyone to watch my children again, Mary would be my first choice. She really is the perfect person to have care for your children."
"Caretaker. Friend. Family. Yes, Mary Ellis is all these things. She's one of those people that you can't believe was never in your child’s life, and even your own. Under Mary's care, Charlotte gets healthy meals, educational playtime (including life lessons taught using simple Bible stories), and lots of hugs and love. I say friend because Mary not only takes an interest in Charlotte, but in our whole family as well. I suffer from debilitating migraines and fibromyalgia. Mary is always asking how I am and offering her genuine kindness, thoughts and prayers. And lastly, I say family because often when I go to take Charlotte home, she doesn't want to leave! To her it's like she has just spent the day at her Nana's house. In fact, my husband and I talk about how it would be worth never leaving NE just so we can have Mary! (moving soon is inevitable for us, and we cringe thinking about having to find childcare that comes anywhere near the care she gets with Mary. We’ll just have to take her with us lol!) My Charlotte has thrived in Mary's care, and I never worry about her during the day. And in the world today, that is hard to come by!"
